I need to cut a space for my trolling motor cables to go into my storage area. Where can i get some trim to cover the new cut? I already carpeted it so I cant recarpet again and i want to protect the carpet from fraying where i make the cut.

Would something simple like this work. Its a car part but I assume it would work just fine.

https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0023127016311a&navCount=2&podId=0023127&parentId=cat21314&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21276-cat601337-cat21314&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21314&hasJS=true

Found it but it is really expensive....

I would actually check at Lowes, Home Depot, or even an auto parts store for large rubber grommets, these are used to route wires through vehicle bulkheads (usually metal) and are to prevent the sharp metal from cutting the wire.

If they have one large enough for your application, use it. Also check it will fit through the thickness of your plywood deck.

You may even have to special order one from a site on the internet, but it will be worth it.

Just drill a hole through the deck , but make sure to cut out the circle in the carpet first or your drill bit will unwind your carpet (not cool, lol).

Looks like the product would work well for your application, but I would highly advise you to look beyond that particular seller. In no way does it cost $8 to ship both of those. I just sent a 7 lb book to Florida for $4.91, from Washington State.

There are a lot of crooks on Ebay as far as piggybacking their shipping costs; try and find one with a much cheaper shipping price.
