Hey guys i was referred here by a friend, i have a 2000 bass tracker (riveted) that had leaks improperly repaired by the previous owner using jb weld, is there any way to remove this short of a grinder? and does anyone have experience with this stuff?

Have you tried scraping it off with a chisel?

If you can get a chisel started under it, it may pop off in chunks.

a wire wheel on an electric drill will do the job

i like to use a die grinder with cookie pads but i know the average joe isnt going to have all this

yes ive gone the chisel route with some success but it's pretty think in some places, will try the wire wheel i also have an orbital sander that i may try, ill post pics to emphasize the PO's idiocy.

+1. That is how I got it out of my boat when I went to do the repairs. Works every time.
