Hey everyone, have a couple of questions for ya

I have been looking at alot of boats lately and thought I found what I wanted until I come across a Crestliner Kodiak. If I remeber right it is a 16 foot V bottom and is a very deep boat, it was rigged with a 25hp Mercury.

The reason I liked this boat is plenty deep inside for me to take my 6 year old daughter and wife with me and everyone would feel safe.

So question 1 is 25hp enough for this boat? it is rated for a 40hp.

And question 2 is this boat will be used on restricted lakes and also bigger lakes like Monroe and Patoke and maybe a river ounce in while, so what are some pros and cons about this style of boat?
I really liked the looks of this boat, just over thinking this I guess.

Jon

Looks like a good boat to me - cant see why anyone wouldnt want it or it wouldnt be safe? Is it used or are you buying new?

It would be bought new.
I just don't know if 25hp would be enough hp or not.
One of the lakes that I would be fishing on is trolling motor only and I don't know if that style boat is hard to control with a trolling motor only or not. Jon
