I have been stripping my 14 x 48 flatbottom in my spare time all week, should be able to have the outside ready to paint in about 1 hour more. I plan on using the self etching primer and believe I like the color good enough. What do you think about just leaving it with the self etch primer and not putting on a top coat, has anyone ever done this and how does it hold up.

Well, I decided to go ahead and put on the finish paint also. So I am using the Starcraft Tan from Kush paints, it is a flat boat paint, they also have it in several other colors, and the price is just $29.00 per gallon, not too bad. I will try to get pictures tomorrow. I have the outside painted and have it flipped to paint the inside.
