I wouldn't. Some folks say 1436's are too unstable with just a bench level deck. I personally don't have too much trouble with a bench level deck, but I'm not seeing how a raised poling platform wouldn't throw one into the drink.
I know you will loose some visibility in regard to sight fishing (which is fun as heck, btw), but I personally would stick to a bench level deck, and accept the trade off.
