Yes, I believe it will be sturdy enough, but that is because I know how I frame things. You will still need to seal all the edges of that product, which seems like a lot less work then the whole surface. I would also be curious to see what it costs though.

For those prices why would someone bother??? After the time invested in sealing up all edges and paying that insane price??? Might just as well buy pure aluminum.

I used some a few years back, I usually find a few pieces every spring from highway signs that get broken off by snowplows. Anyway, seemed to hold up pretty well.

Or at least, just regular plywood. The two layers of .015 aluminum aren't gaining you much of anything over regular ply, yet will make it harder to install carpet. The value of the sign ply is if you were painting it - the aluminum face will hold the paint better than the wood does, but I fail to see any advantages beyond.

Thanks for all the feedback and info. The price is pretty steep and not a lot of gain over standard ply seems to be the theme. have a project jon sitting in the garage and with a newborn in the house have had plenty of design thinking time but not much doing time yet. Seemed like a good idea/product when I ran across it. Have seen plenty of wood framing and alum just wondering what other options there are out there. If Trex decking was not so heavy and expensive I would love to have a deck that looked, well like a deck.
