I think I have to use one to mount my fish finder on the new boat due to the console windshield and steering wheel prevention me from mount it to the top of the console. My graph is a Lowrance LCX-17m and it has like a 7 or 8" screen so it's a bigger unit. Will the original RAM mount work for this or do I need to get a certain model?

I agree with that.

A buddy and I were out fishing a couple of weeks ago and we were tied off to a bridge. His tie rope snagged around the ram mount for his gps and yanked the arm right off into the lake. Thankfully, the gps wasn't in it. He can't find just the arm as a replacement so he's going to have to buy the whole thing again, even though he really only needs half of it.
