The transom on my jon boat is very rotted out. I just don't know how to go about replacing it. There is an L brace that goes from the floor to the transom which is riveted on and there are rivets going up the sides. Should I replace the rivets with new ones or just use carriage bolts in their place. Any tips from anyone who has gone through this would be very helpful. Thanks.
