Boat Question

What do you thing a 20x60 aluminum boat would be worth. I have found one an older one that has a 40 horse mariner, side steer, gun & Storage boxes, double axle galv trailer. Motor runs good. He hasnt put a price on it, so I am trying to get a good idea on what it could be worth.

No pics, but everything on this boat looks great. Looks like everything was just redone. New paint, new tires on trailer, new seats, new floor, new console, motor looks and runs great. It is an open floor design, it has about a 3' on front and rod/gun boxes down the sides, and the rear bench, console, and storage boxes.

Geographical area can have a big influence on price. Here near the coast a galv. trailer is worth it's weight in gold. I'm assuming your looking at a 20'x60" boat and here it could easily be worth $3500. Depending on what all it has and how good of condition it is in. But i would say that it has got to be worth $2500 at least.

Unlike cars, boats value hinge on condition not year. From your outline the three grand area is a good ball-park but. 1.Dose it leak? 2.How does it ride (get up on trim, porpose, turn at full throddle) 3.Price compaired to boats in your area (look at craigs list, boat trader mag, news paper). 4.Dose it sute you? do you like it? Is it stable?(big *** boat should be stable). It sounds nice. Three grand would be a steal five grand would be a squeel.
