I am new to the forum. Have a 1964 Lone Star boat. Need to repair a hole in the right front section of the hull where there was a through hull transducer. The hole is 3/4 inch. Not sur what the best repair method would be. Any suggestions?

Clean the area around the hole. Take a piece of aluminum approx 4x4 and lay flat against the hull. Bend to fit if necessary. Take some pop rivets and drill some holes through the patch and hull to fit the pop rivets. Use some 3M 5200 on the patch and install the patch with the pop rivets. This will make the patch permanant.

You could do this repair from the inside and use something like jb weld to fill the hole after the patch is installed and sand it smooth.

Or if you can find a good welder just have it welded up.
