Im looking for 4 inexpensive white lights to mount inside my boat to hook up to a toggle switch. I guess they are courtesy lights. I cant really find a good site to get them and when I do they are expensive. id like some LEDs as they draw little power, but that may not happen.

So guys where did ou get your lights? I thought about the little side running lights that go on trailers or something like it, but they only come in orange (boooo). Those would be perfect as they are cheap and just right size and all. But I dont want orange lights

Wal-mart auto section.

yes, you can find them there, but for the same price check this site out! Great led lights for all applications!

I got them throughout my Champion bassboat (deck/storage/livewells) and in my tin boat, (deck, storage)

I'd say get these:

For $8 a strip (about 18" long) you cant go wrong with the Leds at : https://www.coastalnightlights.com/orders.html

I have order a few things from them and always been happy...

I used some amber lights and some red from the automotive section at wal-mart, technically they are clearance lights like what you put on the side of a trailer or the roof of a enclosed trailer. Worked out pretty good on my old Alumacraft.

I used blueWater LED lights...Check them out. You would porbably just need a couple livewell lights or something. The are super bright.

I used 3 of the livewell lights. They are a 3 led light. Plenty bright enough.

I went with the green 'marker' lamps, but I would recommend getting something in LED since I've lost three bulbs so far from vibration. Spend money on higher quality parts or keep repeating your mistake...

I went with these in white:

I got mine at Academy. They had some on clearance. last time I looked they still had some but most that were left were amber in color and are now 16.99. I got mine at the time for 6.99. They are oval with white or chrome bezel and have 3 LEDs. I put 4 in my boat as courtesy lights. They are water proof and brighter than you would expect. Look to be good quality.

I checked today at Wal-mart today in the automotive section to see what they had. For $5.97 each, they had some real nice LED lights in the trailer section that were "sealed" (potted). These would be ideal for a boat application, especially if you took the time to solder the wires and heat shrink seal them. They came in red and amber (dark yellow).

That's a considerable savings over "marine" LED lights which run about double that and are basically the same thing. The sealing (potting) will more than suffice to keep water out.

They also had strings of LED lights in the electrical section that were "outdoor" lights for $14.88. Should be good for boating applications as well. The LED string lights came in white, red and blue I think. Might have been a yellow/amber, can't remember for sure. These would have to be converted for 12V use (not difficult to do), as they were setup for 110V (had a plug and a 110V power conversion unit on them).
