Hey folks, I have an opportunity to get a used Legend Craft boat at a great price, but, it has a high transom, with a jet tunnel cut-out. I have a short shaft OB, and the guy told me that many people cut the transoms down with no ill effect. Is this true? I wonder about the structural integrity with a notch cut out of the back. Also, does anyone think a tunnel hull would hurt performance with a regular OB?

Thanks,
Skidz

Yeah, Don't listen to a seller trying to move a boat in this market. It's like a used car salesman, promise you anything to move the product.

I don't know for sure about cutting the transom down, but I'm sure you could find a boat that fits your specific requirements at a good price - especially with the season winding down.

Edit: Better yet, here is a boat that I would buy if I was looking - nice, clean rig
