Have any tinboaters tried this product, Alucobond, an aluminum composite laminate for paneling/flooring. It is lightweight, lighter than plywood and as strong. I googled it and I am looking to where I can purchase some. Looking for more info if you have used it.
Thanks,
Bassky :?:

Used a bunch of it for just about anything that you can think of.

The manufacturing plant is about 25 miles from me and I have many buddies that either worked or have worked there over the years.

It's good stuff. Pretty pricey retail, though.

One of these days, I will replace the transom in my 14 footer with it.

Never heard of it, but I'm intrigued. Sounds like pretty cool stuff. Looks like I need to look this up and learn something about it.

I have seen a thread on here in the past where someone used this product or a product very similar for thier floor. I cant seem to find the thread now though.

I plan on using it for the floor of my boat when i can come up with the money for it. A guy in my area runs a sign shop and has access to it. It runs around 3 bucks a sq foot around here.
