FIBERGLASS V-bottom spine repair.

I just bought a trailer that came with a fiberglass project boat, with a broken wooden spine, about 30 inch from the rear of the boat, is this something worth the trouble. Any help will be appreciated.

by spine do you mean keel runner or stringer? If you post me up some pics I will see what I can do. Probably be a fairly involved process though. Have you ever laid fiberglass before?
