Hey guys,

I own a 2000 BassTracker TX17. I have a crack that is not holding well with JG weld. I called my insurance agent today and it should be covered under collision. Does anyone know of any good boat dealers, marinas, or local shops that are good for welding boats? I have used JB weld twice now and it holds for maybe two trips then recracks. Its right at the back of the boat on the bottom where the bottom mets the back. The crack is paper thin and only about 3 inches long. However when I make my runs accross the lake it takes on a lot of water. Any advice is good advice at this point. Thank you

Sounds like it's right where the transom meets the keel. There is a lot of torque on the transom and I bet that's why you're getting a re-bleed. With all the fishing around your area, I'm sure somebody can weld it. Good luck.
