Hey guys, I am working on my 14ft Monark, my engine is a '69-- 9.9 Johnson, when mounted, it sits a little low in the water, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can mount a manual kicker mount and use that instead of trying to fabricate a jack plate???

I have never seen anybody do what you want to do but I imagine it could be done as long as its set at the right height and the tiller arm is still usable (not hitting the transom). If your motor is tiller operated your going to be sitting at the back of the stern unless you get some type of extension handle.
Heck you could probably get a hunk of metal, nuts/bolts, and a couple pieces of wood and make something for $20.
