Hi guys I am new to tin boats and have a question

I was wondering what yr opinion would be about using Por 15 to cover the outside \ underside of my 16 ft fisher v.

I live in Europe and steelflex is not available here. I have some experience with por 15 on cars and it works great.

I was thinking by covering the Por 15 with rustoleum hard hat paint.

What do you think?

(the previous owner used sillicone to try and stop the hull from leaking and covered almost all seams with the sealant (looks awfull). I think I can have the same results with por 15 as its puts down a hard layer but remains flexible and is thick enough to seal any leakage.

your advise is most welcome

thanks

I have know experience with Por 15,I did google it and not much was said about using it on boats.
The people that did use it said it worked great but I'm not sure it does the same thing as steelflex.
Hopefully more people will chime in to help you out.
Welcome to the site.
