im re-doing the transom and i had to drill out the suport beam. I have the new wood transom ready to go in but all i need are some rivets. These do need to be water tight so what kind of rivets should i use.
I found these but im not sure if they will work

yes those will work however when installing rivets like these with a hand-held rivet gun it's almost impossible to get them to seal completely. You could try some marine-grade sealant around the rivet head before fastening

can you take the boat to a welding shop and have them filled?
