I've read it was Starcraft but really don't know for sure.

I believe that it was Starcraft as well. My friend had a 12' Sea KIng and I had a 12' Foremost (J C Penney's) back in the day (1970). They looked like any Starcraft that I used to see at the time. They were solid little boats.
