My beam width is 54inches. i cant seam to find plywood that is more than 4 ft wide. What would you do in this situation. Cut two peices of plywood for your deck?

not to sound like a smartass but turn the plywood the other way. should come in an 8 foot sheet. or am I missing something?

You are correct, you would cut two pieces of plywood for your deck if it's longer than 48". I know your exactly confusion but it dawned on me after thinking about it for a little while. I'm sure they make larger sheets of plywood but at a premium.

If you're worried about the strength or integrity of the butt joint, you could dado the two pieces of plywood and make a lap joint.

Good luck.
