Would going from the Max HP 5 Rating to a 7.5HP motor cause any ill effects on performance of the Crawdad. Found a 7.5 Gamefisher for $90 that needs the Carb Rebuilt Any issues with parts or carb maintanes
.

you should get the model number of that motor and check if the repair kit or a replacement carb are available before purchasing. i have a 7.5 gamefisher and the carb is NLA... it has made finding parts hard. you can go on www.searspartsdirect.com or www.partstree.com to check availability.

Your crawdad is rated for 5 hp max and you want to put a bigger motor on it? In Texas that is a major no no. If caught you could get in a lot of trouble.

Good advice above.

But if you just set to do it, I would check the weight difference of the two motors and I would make sure to watch the transom.
