Plan on using Glovit on the interior floor of my next project boat for preventative maintainence. Does the aluminum have to be stripped down to bare metal, or just scuffed and cleaned well?

pretty sure it needs to be stripped down so that it chemically attaches to and embeds itself into the aluminum..
