Ok so I got a 1957 35hp evinrude is it possible that they made a 14' boat that will take a 35hp, if not is it possible to brace a transom to accept a 35hp?

A couple of days ago there was a 14' boat rated for 35hp on CL No Ill.
It was listed on thursday 5-5-10 in park ridge.

Yep. An older Alumacraft T14XL.

I had one up until a few months ago ('85 model) that was rated for 35. If I'm not mistaken, the pre '85 (when the outboard rating system changed - actual capacity remained the same) were rated for 40.

OK I found a 16' boat but it is for a short shaft motor. Would I be able to set this up for a long shaft motor????

Look at jack plates or motor raisers. I have a TH Marine mini jack plate.
