Texas ingenuity at work. TEXAS BACK WATER BUGGY. If it want sail, then put a motor on it. If you have a small sail boat or know where you can get on cheap, check out the pics below. Would be great for fishing the salt water flats, or small creeks. Hey, at least you would be fishing until you get a "TIN BOAT"
AMF Sunfish 14' sailboat converted to transom mount shallow water fishing boat. Fiberglass transom added for small gas motor or wire for your trolling motor. Rod holders installed (2), front and rear butt seat mounts can add one seat, cooler, and anchor (with chain and rope). Motor is your choice or just use the electric troll motor. Can trailer or carry in your truck bed.
This is a shallow water fishing rig for backwater applications. Go anywhere a kayak can go, but faster. Also very nice for putting around and fishing the canals. The hull weighs ~120lbs, so it is much more stable than a kayak or canoe. This one is in use now on the Texas Gulf Coast.
