New here with a question

Hi everyone I have a 9.9 merc 4 stroke, I am looking at a few different boats. Due to water shed restrictions I can only run a 9.9 and am wondering what everyone would reccomend for a a good 14 foot boat. I'm torn between a 1436 or a 1440 mod v. I would be using the boat for fishing 2 guys or going in to the camp. I know it won;t be a speed demon, but am wondering would the 9.9 plane a 1440 with a 9.9 with 2 adults and gear. Would love to hear everyones thoughts. Ps the lake I am on is very calm

Any help would be great. Nobody has a 1440 with a 9.9 here
