Question on Middle Seat Removal, 12' V hull sears, 196?

I have a 12' V-Hull Sears 1960 something, not sure, no hull number or anything on it to tell for sure. Its all rivets which all seem to be solid. I want to take the middle seat out put a very very low deck on it with a pedestal seat up near the bow a little more then mid way. Im planning on building some storage on the sides to keep the hull integrity in check, keeping my batteries underneath the bow bench and building some storage up there as well for life vests and such. My question is, how do I go about removing that middle seat?

Just use a drill and drill through the rivet. That is the easiest way I know of.
