Any pontoon owners out there can tell me if salt water, specifically inshore boating is a good idea?

Wondering about ride comfort and safety/stability for children.

For those who live inland, I guess it would be equvilant to a large lake with choppy water.

Thanks all!

I don't have any experience, but I've seen plenty in the bays around Dauphin Island, AL and Panama City Beach, FL.

I've also seen them on the big lakes by me in waves/weather that would rival many inshore navigational hazzards.

If it were me, I'd make sure I knew the forcast before going too far from the ramp on any body of water. The wind in particular.

Thanks Brine, its just something I don't see too much of in So Cal.

Plenty of sails, jet skis, and kayaks.
