Can anyone tell me how big of a cutout I need on my back deck to mount my outboard motor? I was thinking about 4"x10"??

Anyone know? My 2011 Mercury 25 4 stroke efi will be here mid week next week!

You'll need enough room for the motor to move from side to side without hitting the transom. Waiting may be our best option so you get it right the first time.

Good advice. Do it once.

I would make a mock up on a wooden stand, hang the motor and then cut for clearances.
