Mine is worn through and thinking about adding a piece (overlay) to it. I have a welder at work but it would be a pain to do it. Anyone have this problem? The boat won't leak because it's a seperate piece.

I welded a stick of 1"x1"x.125" angle to mine. It gives the nose more bite in turns, makes a nice rub rail for the concrete ramp and it allowed me to repair / extend my nose one foot or so...
