I ran into a snag recently when I went to mount my rear seat with a clamp-on mount, the tiller handle on my 74' Evinrude hits the seat when it is centered on the original bench seat. I really can't move my front seat for balancing either . I purchased an Atwood slide mount, but I'm not sure if it is the best option .Any ideas will be appreciated, and if anyone has used this type mount what is best way to affix it to bench seat ?

I've used the clamp type mount before, and it seems to work best for me just a bit to the starboard on the bench. I'm not as contorted using the tiller this way. Might try that?

X2-just did the same thing . seat off center, and forward enough to clear tiller handle.
