I have a 12' semi v and I want to add an anchor in the back to keep the boat from spinning in the current and wind, but I don't know what weight I should use. I have a 15lb river type anchor for the the bow. Would an 8lb anchor be enough for the back? Also, should I get a mushroom or river anchor. I fish mostly in a river. Thanks.

A 8-10 pound mushroom should do it, particularly if your river bottoms are mostly sand & weeds like mine are. If it is very ricky, a river type may do better, but since it is not the main anchor, it should do fine.
