Just curious what every body else is using, since i just did the floor i need to put something on it so it wont be slicker than snot. Iv heard of using sand mixed with some latex paint but the only issue with using latex is my wife, Shes allergic to it so any other idea's or suggestions would be great!

You can mix sand with any paint to make it nonslip.

This is supposed to be great stuff if your budget allows:

So far, I love my hydroturf. If you get a lot of fish snot in your boat, you probably want something a little more agressive.

I was looking for an answer to my slick floors as well. I've found that "no slip" tape (found online) for marine flooring work great. You can pretty much stick them on like duct tape wherever you need it, and you'll find it for very little cost. I'm sure there are other ways to prevent sliding overboard, but this is the best I've seen for the price. I've listed the web link below. Good luck!

I actually bought some stuff to mix with paint as suggested above, worked out nicely thanks alot for the research because that right there is actually something i was looking for to put on the neck of my trailer to walk on, otherwise i was going to make a catwalk.

If you just want a light non-skid finish.....you can sprinkle Sea Salt ( or any salt, however sea salt has larger crystals) crystals on any paint when it is tacky. You usually are best off doing it on the second or third coats. That way, the first coat covers the base and doesn't leave any way for water to get to the under-layment. Then, after the paint is dry, spray running water on the section.

The salt will dissolve and you will be left with a pock-marked finish... I did this for a seat on a small sailboat years ago, over fiberglass. It worked out very well. rich
