Ready to do the outside of the hull on my boat, want to understand the proper sequence to follow, I know I have to prep the boat which is already down to bare aluminum, wire brushed/sanded and will be wiped down with acetone before I start the next steps.

Now comes the question -

Do I first use 5200 to seal the rivets and seams, then prime with self etching primer and finally paint?
OR
Prime with self etch first, seal rivets and seams with 5200 second and then finally paint?

Can't find a straight answer in my searches, thanks for the advice - Chris.

I agree with JD. I just did this in the past week. You can click on my signature link to look at pics. 5200 takes awhile to cure. Give yourself some time before priming. I primed after 4 days but it doesn't fully cure until 7 days.
