So i saw a few other members and i decided to give it a shot. This is what i have so far, i will be getting the carpet in the mail on friday and finishing her up. I got the hatch from cabelas, which is awsome quality and extrmely durable.

Lookin' good, but I think you may want to rethink the idea of the OSB on the inside. It is not usually a good choice in a boat.
 
Yeah and make sure you trip the pieces of wood smaller that will be going up against an original carpeted piece so it will fit snug. You don;t want to put carpet on it and it be so tight you can't get it to go back in place. Been there, done that.
 
so i got the carpet and attempted to install it, this is what i came up with, i think it went pretty well, here is what i have so far...

thanks, ill finally be able to take it out tomorrow and see how i like it! cant wait to finally get the boat on some water
