First Boat

Hello all,

I’m new to boat ownership and found your site with tons of great information. I came across a great deal on a 2006 Lowe 1448 big jon, 5hp B&S motor, and trailer last year, but have yet to get it out. I’ve also inherited from my father-in-law a bow mount trolling motor, (2) marine batteries, and pedestal seat. The weather here hasn’t given me a chance to do anything to it yet, hopefully this weekend will be nice and I can uncover it and start setting it up. I’ll post later how to hookup a 24 volt battery setup for trolling motor, navigation lights, etc. Cause I haven’t a clue on where to begin. I’m also looking into adding a front deck to it, seen some good ideas already.

Anyways, just wanted to say “Hey”.
