Found some Boat Life-Life Caulk at my local shop today. Anyone have any experience with it? I would like to run a new bead down my hull. It has separated and cracked in spots. This caulk I found says it sticks to wood, metal, fiberglass and glass. Also says its can be sanded and painted, but could take up to 10 days to fully cure. None of the 3M products stated they are for metal. I don't want to redo my hull just to have the sealant peel off.

Using sealant on the outside of a hull to stop leaks rarely if ever works, and if it does work it won't work for long.

You should post some pics of your problem so we can help you fix it so it will last.

This is what I was thinking of redoing. It looks like there is old sealant that it cracking in spots. I want to repaint the outside and figured i would have to fix this to have the paint last. Any input would be great!
