Does anyone have a weldbilt 1436 crawdad and if so how do they handle? pros and cons; thinking of buying soon. Thanks and tight lines! :D 8)

A month old post, but I've been eying one hard, too. There is a guy on a local forum that runs a 1436 with a 15 Mercury and sees 25-28 mph. He loves the boat for a "backwater boat" as he says.

I want a 1542 with pod seats in the back, full floor, and maybe a gunbox for storage. I love the wide open layout.

Yes they are tough, got a 1242 flatnose and thinking of a 1448 or 1548 mod-v like VH has. I like the open hulls too. I use this little tub on santee, wateree, and trolling for flounder at Garden City and Murrells Inlet. Grandsons like 1242 and would be good one to getem started because of width and stability. Nothing bigger than 15er because can handle by myself. Tight lines! :) 8)
