I am getting ready to sand down my 1965 Starcraft 14’ tinny. Was wondering if there is any lead in the original paint (“starcraft green”) ??

Yeah - my wife being an OSHA girl freaked out on me too. You can pick up a lead test for about $30 and it's instant (its usually a 10 pack). If there's multiple layers use a bit of sand paper to expose each layer. If there is lead it will turn red. If it doesn't, you then test it on the control paper (which does contain lead). If it doesn't turn red after that - use another tester.

Here's a link to a big box store:

i've been stripping all the paint off my starcraft and i have lead test kits, so i tested it.

mine was white, so bear in mind green may be different, but I found no lead in the primers or paint used, inside or out.
