Floor matting

Has anyone used the Neo-mats from Styx River?

I really like this idea, but the price is adding up fast. I have a 14' Tracker john boat and figure I'd need about 5 mats to cover the whole boat which would be $250. Just seeing if it would be worth it. I like this idea better than carpet. Anyone have other floor matting ideas that are less expensive? I also saw this type of matting, but seems like it would get real hot in the sun,

The boat is used for fishing.

Home depot sells 3 ft. x 5 ft. Anti-Fatigue Rubber Mat for 29.99. might be hot being black but works great and deadens sound.

I don't find they get overly hot...especially compare to hot metal.

i used this from home depot. 2'x2' foam mats, cheap

I saw those today at Harbor Freight actually. I pretty much glanced right over them as they seemed like they'd get water logged pretty easily. Do they not? Also, do they get hot in the sun?

closed cell foam. as for heat, i don't know, i put them in my storage and close the hatch,but they dont soak up water.
