Starcraft Mariner 180 parts

I am in the process of a much needed down to the bare hull overhaul of my 1979 Mariner 180. The only part I have not been able to find or make is the trim piece that covers the top of the transom between the end caps. Any ideas?

I`m missng the same piece on my boat. I was just going to make one from some aluminum channel.

it's just aluminum trim channel bent into shape
