What are these brackets called?

I'm trying to figure out what you would call these brackets that are used to connect 2x2's together, or to connect 2x2s to aluminum ribs. I'm also looking for where to purchase them:

I didn't see them at my local Lowes.

They are called strong ties, they are galvanized, I would only use on wood. I had a bunch of those things in my boat when I ripped it apart. Everywhere they touched the aluminum was severely corroded.
