Just picked up this 1987 Alcan 16ft Aluminum boat and trailer for $250. The boat doesnt leak a drop and the trailer needed some work. I put new bunk brackets and wood on the trailer and all new rollers. The boat needs paint and a few other minor things.

Anyone heard of Alcan before? Also picked up a 1998 Envinrude 25hp for $500.

I think ALCAN stands for Aluminum Company of Canada. They used to build Springbok, and still build Princecraft.

That's the deal of the year!! Up here that package would sell for $1500 - $2000 easy as is.

Welcome, and great purchases !!!

You will always be able to get your investment back, and in the meantime, you will have a ball.

I just looked at the manufacturers specs and it says rated for a 40hp max and 1,420 lbs, i knew this thing is solid but wow! Measured the stern earlier its 5 1/2 ft wide where can i find how much it weighs?

Man that's a nice boat. You got a great deal. Did it come with papers (boat registration, title for trailer)?
