old football and skiing injuries and age handicap some of us and we need hand holds to get around in a "tin boat".

aluminum walkers secured to the bottom ribs with bungee cords work ok.

i made some of pvc pipes and fastened them to the vertical portions of the ribs. they are made of 2" and 1.5" white plumbing pipes; they also function as rod holders.

13" seat posts inserted into the bases work too.

did you build yours? how?

did you buy yours? where?

i looked for mud buddy hoop type hand holds but did not find online.

any ideas to pass along?

Not sure if this can be of any use, but here's a grab bar I made for my little 14' tinny out of 1.5" PVC pipe attached to the ribs and forward bench using all stainless steel hardware. It's incredibly strong and lets me stand amidship while using my PVC tiller extender which has increased my performance and improved my visibility tremendously. It also makes getting in/out of the boat a breeze either in the water, or on the trailer in the front yard. Best of all it only cost about $30 (mostly due to the SS hardware), only weighs about 5 lbs and I can remove the whole thing in about 1 min.
