Does anyone know if its OK to use stainless steel components on an aluminum? I'd like to attach some tie downs on an aluminum hull, and the only one I can find are steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. I'll attach the tie down with an aluminum rivet. Just dont want to use anything that's going to corrode the aluminum.

15 years later and all my stainless and galvanized fittings are doing just fine. Use them exclusively.

It's ok as long as you aren't using it in salt water. Thats when you will get problems. I would still coat the steel with epoxy to make sure it doesn't make it to the aluminum.
