I know a lot of guys use aluminum angle for their deck framing so I figured I would share...

That guy sells 1x1x1/8x96" 6063 angle for $8.00 a piece!! Sure beats the $25 at Lowe's or $16 or so from Metals Depot. Sorry if this is a repost just trying to spread the good word. You can do aluminum framing almost as cheap as using wood for this price.

Yeah for one piece its definitely not worth it but if you buy 10 pieces then it works out pretty nicely.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm in the middle of a boat remodel, perfect timing...I ordered 8. With shipping it is still about half price of what I can get it local.

Living out in the middle of mostly farmland in small town USA, I had to do a lot of searching, but I found a bulk metal supplier just 35 miles away. I was able to get 6061 T6 1x1x1/8 in 25' sections for just under $1 a foot. You might be surprised at what you can find locally if you dig enough. I found this place by asking a local fabricating/machine shop where they bought their metal stock from. My savings made it well worth the effort.
