looked at a boat yesterday where the owner left an open hole about the size of a silver dollar in one flotaton pod. boat has been outside for 4-5 months uncovered. flotation is wet. is this a problem ? how would i get it dry ? would it keep you from buying the boat ?
thanks for the help

You won't dry that foam out, it'll dry on top but the insides will still be wet.

It is a problem.

I wouldn't consider buying the boat unless the price was cheap enough I could justify replacing the wet foam and still stay in a reasonable ball park of what the boat is actually worth.

thank you for the response ! that was my concern as well and if the entire flotation pod is wet will be a major expense. unfortunate, it appears the yamaha looked new but the elderly gentleman had mounted and removed so much stuff had really hurt the value
