I apologize if this has been asked before. Being new to this forum and this type of boat, I am curious what is the best
way to clean and prep the bottom of my boat for painting. I have read some people use a wire wheel, but it seems a little harsh. I plan on using steel flex and some sort of accent color (most likely green) to paint the hull. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard, gawdzuki, We're glad you joined us. You can find answers to most all your tin questions here. That's a nice boat you are starting with, can't wait to see what you do with it. So do keep us updated with pics. Assuming it is all registered with the state, the first step is to determine if you have any leaks in the hull and if the transom is sound. Let us know if you have done that.
