Boat Pedestal

I have a Tracker Grizzly 1448 which comes with two spots for pedestal seats. I bought the 11 inch pedestal for both locations but fel they are to tall, does anyone know where i can purchase a 6 or 7 inch pin type pedestal that will fit in original spots on boat?

Really depends on which state you are located if you want something local. There are plenty of places online that offer a shorter pedestal. Look at Academy, Ebay, Cabela's, etc. After all everything is bigger in Texas.

I cut mine down. It was a hassle and a half but it worked. I cut the aluminum shaft to length and then removed the female socket from the cut-off to replace it in the keeper half of the shaft. The hard nylon socket didn't willingly come out so I had to cut the shaft up the length and split it open to release the socket. Once driven into the keeper half of the mount the socket was very solid.

Yep, me too. Remember to remove the plastic insert BEFORE you cut the shaft shorter. Don't ask how I know this, please. rich
