Hi all, New guy here. I'm just getting started on a boat and wanted to use Aluminum Brightener on it but I'm not sure what brand to use. Does anyone have any advise? FYI I'm gutting the boat so I'm not worried about the cleaner getting on anything.
I'll start a thread on my build as soon as I get a chance.

If you're wanting to get rid of all oxidation and stuff like that, I'd use Sharkhide - https://www.sharkhide.com/acinfo.html ... this is some powerful stuff, so make sure you read the directions and dilute it. When you get it clean and the boat is ready, use the protectant or wax and buff it out - you can make it look like glass if you want it to.

You are talking about non-painted surfaces right???

Sharkhide is good stuff but will turn the aluminum white.

I'v been wanting to try this stuff... https://britekleensolutions.com/

Yea I wasn't wanting to wax? it but that sharkbite stuff looks like it would work great .

I may try Brite Kleen unless someone has another option ?

I checked Oreilly's and they have this in stock. I love the price and think I'll give it a try.

Thanks - I have been wanting to clean up my boat but I don't want to paint the aluminum. Any additional comments would be appreciated.

A friend of mine used NAPA alum. cleaner he pressure washed the boat then sprayed on the brightener let it soak for 15-20 mins. and power washed again the sheet alum. looked like new the cast alum. corner braces were cleaner but did not shine like the rest of the boat.

I used it as well. Turned a boat that had sat outside under a tree for years from dirty to looking like a new boat. Did exactly what your friend did.

I used the $10 stuff from Oreillys Today and it worked great. I have before and after pics and will post them as soon as I have time to start a build thread.
