Hey guys, do any of you have flotation pods on your boat? I'm thinking I need some for 1648. I have never seen them in action before and was trying to get some input before I had them welded to my boat.

What size motor are you running? Does the boat sit lower in the back?

Im running a 70 hp Johnson. I added a jackplate also. It sits pretty low, when I come to a stop the water comes over the splash well. Also I'm trying to gain a little stability with the pods.

Very top right of the page is the search keyword field, put "pods" in there and you might find the answer you're looking for on them. Lots of reading material with pics.

I’m putting them on my 1752. Here are a couple of links.

With a 48 bottem they will help lots That's if there is enough width left for Prop and turning Motor..My boat is 60 at bottem and pontoons each are 18 wide against transom and narrowing to 12 .They extend 12 back from transom These are bottem measurements..Just something to consider. Not saying mine are the best or anything like that just telling you what they are..I really like mine and they do what I think they should..But they do create extra drag and take away a couple MPH . With a 70 hp that should be no problem...cva34

I have a 1436 voyager and am looking to stabilize it more. I only have a trolling motor on it. Are the pods worth the money for what you get in added stability?
